Like the Phoenix, the bullet-resistant Armored Republic Firebird Armored Backpack is built to stop the bullets used in 95% of gun-related homicides. Nobody will know your backpack doubles as a lifesaving tool. The Firebird is a low-profile armor system designed to stop the ammunition used in the majority of shootings but provides more armor coverage than the standard Phoenix Armored Backpack.

The Firebird weighs less than 3 pounds in its lightest configuration and comes ready to use. The armor is sewn into the pack, so you never have to worry about forgetting to install your armor or having it shift during use.

The Firebird features plenty of storage for your laptop and other personal gear.

• The generously sized primary compartment features a laptop sleeve, compatible with nearly all laptops. Perfect for all-around general use.
• Hypalon® reinforced bottom and accented front upper pocket (is designed for compatibility with the largest smartphones on the market, including their cases)
• The large front lower pocket is complete with a key lanyard with hook, and retention pockets for pens and other accessories. It will easily accommodate a full-sized pistol for concealment.
• The lined top pocket is located right next to the backpack drag handle. This pocket is lined on the inside with a non-scratch soft fabric and is ideal for storing your sunglasses, wallet, keys, or other accessories.

Enhance your protection for less weight

If you’re looking to get rifle-rated protection but for less weight, then our P2 and A3 body armor are add-ons worth considering. Simply insert one plate into the laptop pocket for added protection.

• P2 Body Armor: is 3.3 pounds and 1 inch thick. This polyethylene armor provides level 3 armor protection against 7.62×51 M80 Ball at 2780 FPS – as well as some special threats such as 5.56×45 M193 at 3150 FPS and 7.62×39 AK-47 at 2380 FPS. Due to the way this armor functions, it is incapable of stopping MSC/EP rounds such as M855.
• A3 Body Armor: is 4.6 pounds and 0.7 inches thick. This armor combines polyethylene and alloy to provide level 3 plus-rated armor that can stop mild steel core rounds such as 5.56x45MM, M193 Ball and M855 – as well as 7.62x51MM NATO Ball.
